Heroes returns finally, NBC Announces Heroes Reborn Miniseries

By -

NBC is re-engaging the “Heroes” team, ordering 13 episodes of an event miniseries to air next year with series creator Tim Kring at the helm.

During NBC’s airing of the Winter Olympics on Saturday, the network surprised viewers with a teaser for Heroes Reborn.

Set to air in 2015, Reborn will be a 13-episode miniseries featuring a stand-alone arc. It is worth noting that the first Heroes series was originally planned as having a different stand-alone story arc each season. However, those who watched the 2006-2010 run will remember that the show ended up following the first season characters throughout its lifespan.

The show lost most of it’s allure in the 2nd season and never regained it’s popularity. Even if it managed to go up till the 4th season. Though no story details have been revealed for this new stand-alone story arc, we do know that creator Tim Kring will return to executive produce the miniseries. Also, a digital series will debut prior to Reborn to introduce the main characters.
