The need for speed can never be quenched. It only grows; we’ve seen cars come out of production line after another which kept surpassing each in terms of power and speed and yet we crave for more. That is human nature; we just can’t get enough of anything it would seem. Anyhow, moving on with the post the recent Detroit Auto Show came with a bang and had some peculiar exhibits, one of them being the General Motors’ revelation of their speed beast which is being called the 2015 Corvette Z06.
This model comes from a family line which has been defining speed for quite some time now. The latest addition, 2015 Corvette Z06, comes with a 6.2 lr LT4 supercharged V-8 which can generate a horsepower of 625 HP. The Corvette when really put to the test shall be generating a torque of 635 pound feet. However, there are no confirmed numbers in regard of its ‘top speed’ or the acceleration as of now. We can only speculate that this beauty will surely come with an equally impressive speed and acceleration.
Let’s just put all these specs and numbers aside. Doesn’t it feel good to get away from all the data? Come on now; let’s appreciate how the car has been built. It seems to be sculpted as close to perfection as possible when it comes to body shape. The design incorporates the factor of down force and Z06 has been designed to ensure maximum down force. The frame also makes it possible for the Corvette Z06 to make sure that cooling air makes its way to the engine which is working with so much dedication by employing an aerodynamic line which is sleek enough.
The model comes with two modes of transmissions; the manual for the pure drivers and the automatic for those who prefer to have fun without worrying about shifting gears. The Automatic transmission has 8-speed and the car can shift from racing track to street racing without breaking a sweat.
