Dolfi Is An Ultrasonic Washing Machine That Fits In Your Palm
What you’re looking at is known as Dolfi and has been created by a German businesswoman Lena Solis. It resembles a bar of a soap and well in a way it works like one, but with some technological geeky twist. It has been designed to clean, however, does so by helping you get rid of all the laundry related items you have. The basic aim of this amazing gadget was to somehow get rid of the frustration that follows during traveling and having to rely on laundromats. Lena decided to create something that would allow travelers to get rid of these services and execute washing anytime and anywhere they deemed right.
She employed the use of ultrasonic technology for achieving this feat. The gadget, Dolfi, is capable of washing any piece of clothing while causing less damage to clothes as compared to the traditional washing machines (with all the spinning and throwing around that happens inside the drum). The operation of Dolfi is quite simplistic; you put clothes in water and add laundry detergent followed by placing Dolfi inside and switching it on. Wait for 30 minutes, rinse the clothes and dry them because they are done! It is that easy and convenient. And if all that wasn’t impressive enough, it is completely silent and thus allows you to wash clothes any time without disturbing anyone else in the room.
Lena writes on the Dolfi website, “it was inspired by amazing benefits of ultrasound, successfully utilized for years in many industrial and medical applications, we’re passionate about redefining the ultrasonic technology for everyday consumer use. […] we can bring to the world a device that can fundamentally change the way we wash.” Here’s another interesting fact; it uses less than 80% of the energy that a conventional washing machine would consume.
The project was launched thanks to an Indiegogo campaign that helped Lena raise 428% funds that amounted to over $1,000,000. You can check out Dolfi cleaning in the video below.
