Are you all ready to geek out? This guide will help you add the last final touch of personalization to your Windows, Mac or Linux machine. What is it? It is a guide that will allow you to create your own handwriting font. Yes, that can be done.
You’ll require an active Internet connection so that you can visit www.Yourfonts.com along with a scanner, printer and something that you can use to write on a piece of paper. Yup, that’s about all you need to create your handwriting font for use in any application on your computer. You’ll have to download the template and then follow the steps. The template looks like this
You’ll have to print the template (2 pages) out and then write alphabets and special characters corresponding to their designated boxes. Anything that you don’t write will not be included in your font.

You can either use the grey scale at 200dpi or go with a color scan as per site’s recommendation. If your printer creates a PDF then you’ll have to convert it into JPG, GIF or PNG file. Once your file is ready, upload it to the website where the characters are recognized and a font is created. The following is what you’ll get. You have to provide the file along with the name of font.
You don’t really have to provide all the details and can simply leave the fields blank if you don’t wish to be identified as the author of the font. Once you complete the process, you’ll see the following.
If you add a custom text line; it will be displayed when someone previews your font. It is not compulsory to add the custom text line though. Click on download to get your font.
