Hyperloop Wants To Take Travel Underground
Hyperloop have always been the leaders in modern transportation with their new and innovative ideas. Hyperloop One’s team demonstrated an early hyperloop system, accelerating their newly proposed high-speed train to 116 mph (187km/h) in just 1.1 seconds. As if this wasn’t enough, they have come up with another revolutionary proposal to take travel underground. Here is a video explaining all that:
Hyperloop claim that they can extend the reaches of supersonic speed by creating an underwater Hyperloop transport system. This announcement was made as the existing technology reaches real life application. “We think we can deliver things people don’t even know they want yet, and that’s going to manifest itself in a lot of ways. So I think we will see some above-grade systems, we’re definitely going to see tunneled systems, and we also want to see some underwater systems,” says Bambrogan, co-founder and chief technology officer of Hyperloop One.
He went on to further explain that Hyperloop system is safest and they take their safety very seriously. It is free from problems faced by generic transportation systems like crashes at intersections, derailing and plane crashing. Proposed first by Elon Musk, the concept is currently the fifth mode of transport- a system able to travel up to 1,220 kph (758 mph). The system encloses people in a capsule inside a pressurized system which propels the craft using a vacuum in front and a pressurized environment behind.
A lot of progress has been made in this regard and last month’s tests prove that the future is very promising for the Hyperloop system. The Hyperloop One is taking travel to a whole new level, which is faster, safer and more efficient than the existing systems of transport. If things go as planned and production costs are decreasd, the system will be cheaper than all existing systems as well.
