The World’s Most Expensive Dinner With A Big Surprise At The End
Most of us save and wait so that we can go out and have a fancy dinner with our loved ones and no matter where we are, we are always unpleasantly surprised when we see the bill because it is always on the higher side. But World of Diamonds, a Russian diamond company, is offering a lucky couple the most expensive dinner on Earth that costs around $2 million. Yes, you read that right.
There is a catch though. Normal people like us cannot attend that dinner because it is sort of a revelation of their new 2.08 carat diamond called Jane Seymour, after the actress. The Seymour diamond is engraved in a ring with rose gold plated platinum band. A number of rich people including the British Royal family has shown interest but the company decided to partake the interested parties into a contest which involves an 8-hour long dinner and they will be presented with the Jane Seymour at the end.
The event will kick-off with a 45 minute long helicopter ride hovering above Singapore. Next stop would be the luxury cruise. The lucky couple will then be chosen and taken to Ce’ La Vi restaurant on a chauffeur-driven Rolls-Royce. The restaurant is located on the rooftop of Marina Bay Sands Hotel and the couple will be greeted by 10,000 fresh roses. Here, they will be served an 18-course Modern Asian meal and they would be able to enjoy a 360-degree view of Singapore and the picturesque sunset.
The dinner menu will include almas caviar- most expensive item, belon oysters + champagne foam, lamb sweetbread, Alaskan wild salmon- air blown, slow-cooked pigeon and apple-wood grilled Mishima sirloin. These dishes would be accompanied by 44- or 55-year-old vintage wines, bruts and champagnes. The dinner table will be designed by The Plush and the cutlery will be gold and diamond plated. Right on midnight, the lucky chosen couple will be presented with the diamond.
However, this might not be as easy as it seems. Ce’ La Vi and World of Diamonds has still not defined the precise criteria for selection of the lucky couple. But they did mention a few important points like they will be selected on the basis of status (how influential the buyer is), the affinity and attachment to blue diamonds, and how the buyers plan to flaunt this extraordinary piece of jewelry. Seeing that we have no chance to enter this race, we would be happy with our regular Big Mac from McDonald’s.
