Those of you who are avid music listeners will appreciate this product more than anyone else. The problem with listening to music or audio via your smartphone or even your laptop is that the sound systems in your devices lack the power to produce quality sound. A new headphone amplifier, called UAMP has debuted. The product promised to improve the sound you hear with any headphones in a portable package. Basically it simple: It’s a tiny amplifier which can produce the kind of premium quality audio that you expect from hi-end audio equipment.
The UAMP is small enough to be carried in a pocket and connects between your device and your headphones. The people behind the product claim that it will give you the same sort of sound quality that you expect to get from high-end audio gear. The UAMP is only 43x43x9 mm and weighs in at 26 grams. It has the ability to connect to any device that has a 3.5mm headphone output.
The device also has an integrated EQ to allow you to tune the music to your tastes. The battery is good for up to 10 hours per charge. An amplifier magnifies an audio signal which is then emitted by a loudspeaker, or in this case, your headphones. The product is simple to use….1) plug your headphones into UAMP, 2) plug UAMP into your music player and there you have it….great quality sound.
The product is being featured on Kickstarter here. The inital goal was to achieve $15,000 (AUD) and raised over $23,000 AUD so far. You can get this petite device for $65.
